I just read such a neat post! Amanda at the Stumbling Christian Blog got inspired by one of my posts about How Clutter Affects You and decided to spend a day getting UNSTUCK.
Amanda says
"Have you ever dreamed of waking up one morning and having 50 lbs suddenly gone? That's what this felt like. Though, sadly, I didn't lose any body weight (that might have something to do with the chocolate, however) I did lose a lot of stuff that was weighing me down."
Check out her before and after pictures!
p.s. She has some good but loud music that plays when you go to her site...so check your speakers! Mine were way up loud and I nearly jumped out of my skin!

p.s. I've posted some new free gifts as a thank you to my loyal readers!
With just one sign-up you'll get my new 40 page e-book with my articles on Clearing Clutter PLUS, you'll get my newest e-booklet: Feng Shui Tips For Creating a Space You Love!
PLUS - You can download my Clutter Quiz that helps you determine where you are the Clutter scale!
I hope you like them and find them helpful. Let me know what's inspiring you to clear clutter this month!

WOW! I'm so shocked and flattered that you would write about me and provide a link to my blog. I wondered why my hits went up! THANK YOU SO MUCH! The decluttering continues as I have been boxing up what was left from Saturday and carrying it off to various donation spots.
I have been literally giddy since Saturday! I never dreamed that getting rid of all that stuff I thought I "needed" would be so fun and freeing! :) Thanks again!

Hi Ariane!
By the way, talking of weight and clutter...guess who is on Oprah this week! I love watching Oprah! Well I tape it, as I definitely don’t sit down at 4pm to watch it every day.
Peter Walsh will be on this Thursday to discuss his new book! - Set your DVR’s/VCR’s etc….looks like it could be good!
If you are one of the millions of Americans ready to get your house and your health in shape this year, this is the show to get you started! Clutter expert Peter Walsh is back with eye-opening information from his new book, Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat? He reveals the unexpected side effect of decluttering your life—weight loss! Peter goes inside the life of an overweight family drowning in clutter with a mom who is on the brink of a breakdown.

What's even more amazing is that she organized not one but three rooms! Sometimes, we can't help but horde stuff we don't really need. Contrary to what other people might think, having fewer things doesn't exactly mean your room is going to look boring. In fact, based on the after pictures, she looks like she could do more with the room and make it look more beautiful.
But I have to admit you got me with the title!

You are such a sharing person I hope all good things come rolling your way! I completely agree, clearing clutter literally makes us feel lighter both emotionally and physically. Thanks for your inspiration.

Thank you all for the great comments and contributions! In my experience there is a definite connection between health, weight and clutter, but it's not as direct as "if you lose the clutter, you WILL lose weight." It's more like this: "if you clear the clutter, then you have one less obstacle to losing weight. You become more ABLE to eat healthy and lose weight more easily, but you still have a lot of work to do...it's not automatic. You still have to organize to eat healthy and Commit to let go of "clutter" food, not to mention exercise and deal with your emotional issues that led to clutter and overeating.
I will write more about this in a separate post! Thank you all for the inspiration!

i am a declutter freak, in fact i thick i drive my partner slightly crazy as i am always clearing things away so that our very small home looks clears and spacious.
I am a great beliver that clutter does cause stress, being surrounded by stuff just clutters your mind too.
Oh hand on a minute i see some clutter (other wise known as my partners pile of clothes and shoes)must dash.
