How to Donate Books, Magazines and other stuff by Sending CARE packages to Soldiers

Pileofbooksclassicscolor Here's another great way to donate some of your spring cleaning castoffs. Especially the books and magazines you just can't throw out

http://booksforsoldiers.com/  Here you can apply to become an official volunteer. Once your application is approved, you will be able to send troops books, DVDs, games and relief supplies. They get over 1000 requests a month from soldiers for penpals as well. Get started today and get your family, company, civic group or place of worship involved with supporting our troops.

There are lots of other things soldiers could use like DVD's and CD's, stationery, small electronic games, & more.

FIND OUT WHICH SOLDIERS NEED WHAT!

Many parts of the military are not accepting mail that isn't addressed to a specific person as a safety precaution. But now, thanks to www.anysoldier.com you can browse a list of soldiers' names, click to see where they are stationed, and what items they personally could use!

What a great way to celebrate Memorial Day. Clear some clutter AND help out a soldier in need too. (This would be a great project to get children involved in.)

SENDING EMAIL TO "ANY SERVICE MEMBER"

Even though many parts of the military are not accepting mail that isn't addressed to a specific person, you can send email messages to Navy personnel! Here is the link to that - I'm sure they'd love to hear from you! Especially those that don't have family to write to them.

Happy Memorial Day!
